Platform DevOps Engineer/Mississauga
A rising star in the e-commerce industry are looking to continue to expand their DevOps team with an ambitious and skilled DevOps Engineer. You will be working in a killer Mississauga office for a company that has locked in recent partnerships that made major international news.
The ideal candidate will, be working on large-scale projects, primarily involving automation expansion and cloud migration. You will be developing in an environment that is primarily Linux, and a has a primary focus on Operations. Due to the clients this company works with, the ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is required.
To really have your application stand out, a candidate will has worked extensively with Redis or MySQL in the past, as well as having Containerization experience with Docker. Automation will be conducted using Jenkins, but experience with other tools in this space will be a definite asset. Any previous exposure to configuration management with Ansible or Chef is considered a plus, along with a strong background in Database work.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin)
- Advanced Kubernetes proficency
- Experience using Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience deploying Monitoring tools (Nginx)
- Coding/Software Development background a big plus
- An understanding of Source control systems – Git or Maven
