Application Support Specialist
A premier social media marketing software company is looking to add a highly technical Application Support Engineer to their team. The role is a true Tier 2-3 support position specifically aimed at helping clients configure and troubleshoot issues with their platform once a Help Desk engineer has attempted to resolve the issue. The team is composed of engineers who actively enjoy application support – most of the team members have CS degrees and could be professional software engineers but have actively chosen to work in app support because they enjoy working with customers.
Beyond standard Tier 2 and 3 support responsibilities, you’d be given the chance to write custom SQL questions to pull and examine failure records, read production Java code, and get familiar with deeper level Linux work.
Required Skills & Experience
- Intermediate experience working in an enterprise application support environment
- An interest in becoming more technical while remaining customer facing.
- Experience writing SQL scripts
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience reading Java code.
