Senior Windows Engineer/Architect
A company headquartered in Fort Worth is redesigning and replacing their entire data center, and the team needs a Systems Engineer to help with the transition! The company has just hired Systems and Network Architects, and they’re still expanding due to organizational growth and the need for extra hands.
This person should have strong experience in a Windows environment. This IT department has about 250 Windows servers, 80% of which are virtualized with VMware. Candidates should have experience managing Active Directory, IIS and SQL Server, but they can expect a lot of their time to be spent updating the company’s infrastructure. Upcoming changes include updating Exchange to Office 365, switching backups from Commvault to Avamar, transitioning from Juniper to Cisco routers/switches, and the potential move to a public cloud (which will likely be Azure). Candidates that have experience in a VDI environment and Powershell scripting will have a leg up for this position. The team is writing automation scripts from scratch in Powershell to automate operational tasks and integrate with ServiceNow.
