Senior Data Engineer (Python, Spark, AWS)

VideoIQ provides best-in-class access to highly viewable and guaranteed fraud-free inventory across television, desktop, tablet and mobile. Eyeview's platform can be provided as a managed service by Eyeview’s team of analysts, video producers, and campaign experts or through a self-service interface.
Headquartered in New York City, with offices in L.A., Detroit and Chicago, this client works with hundreds of brands and their agencies across Retail, CPG, Auto and Travel.
About the Role:
Join us in building the next generation data-processing platform that helps household name brands like Land Rover, Toyota, Home Depot and others optimize video ads to directly increase sales. Our platform is built to handle over 10 billion events daily, process all events in real-time utilizing streaming technology, and run predictive modeling to optimize our clients’ ads performance.
You’ll take part in creating a scalable system to handle all our data and creating production level, parallelized, machine-learning models. We strive to write robust and scalable code utilizing a combination of Java, Scala, and Go. Some of the frameworks and databases we’re using are: Amazon Kinesis, Apache Spark, EMR, Amazon Redshift, DynamoDB, and Aerospike, among others.
- Solid understanding of CS fundamentals
- 5 years+ hands-on experience with OO and/or functional programming
- Experience with large scale data-processing systems (ETL and/or streaming)
We’d love to have:
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Java and Scala
- Experience with Apache Spark/Spark streaming
- Machine learning in production - big plus
